Northwestern University have just accomplished the creation of the smallest laser. this laser is about the size of a virus. This is a HUGE benefit for researchers as this will open the door to improved research in microbiology. In addition, researchers will also be able to improve optical devices with this small laser. I am really excited about this accomplishment and I hope to find out what happens next with the laser. The name of this device is, "Plasmonic Bowtie Nanolaser Array, great name for a new discovery in science and technology.
