The Weizmann Institute in Israel has been found to be researching the humans secret sensor. The reason is because researchers realized that other mammals have the ability to use their whiskers to tell what is around their surroundings. So with that, they want to bring this concept to life for humans by blindfolding them and putting bionic whiskers that are attached to the finger. Nonetheless, this was a successful experiment and participants were able to increase their ability with the whiskers as trials went by.
