The Study of Roots

Recently, scientist have created transparent soil to research plant growth of the roots. The study of rhizospheres is an important study because it means we will be able to understand the growth of roots and the factors that influence the change in growth of those roots. The soil, on the other hand, is composed of Nafion, which is the same synthetic composite that is used for generating power-generating fuel-cells. The soil requires the mixture of a special water based solution to actually turn transparent. The reason why I am posting about this interesting find is because it is related to the sciences. Personally, I also believed it appears aesthetically captivating yet very revolutionary in the fields of science.
